Claus Ekstrøm er professor på biostatistisk afdeling, Københavns Universitet. Hans primære forskningsinteresser er i statistiske modeller til analyse af høj-dimensionelle dataproblemer indenfor biostatistik, bioinformatik og i causal discovery.

Han har skrevet to bøger om statistik, er hovedmanden bag statistikbloggen sandsynligvis.dk og har været flittig brugt som statistisk ekspert i medierne.

Claus er medlem af Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond, den nationale videnskabsetiske komité og er tidligere formand for Dansk Selskab for Teoretisk Statistik. Han sidder i styregruppen for Københavns Universitets Center For Health Data Science og er valgt medlem af International Statistical Institute.

Claus Ekstrøm is a statistician at the University of Copenhagen. His research interests are centered on analysis of high-dimensional data problems and on methods for causal discovery. He’s been a grumpy old man from a young age.

Claus Ekstrøm is professor at the Section of Biostatistics, University of Copenhagen. His primary research interests are centered on developing methods for analysis of high-dimensional data problems and causal discovery.

He has authored two books on statistics, is the creator of sandsynligvis.dk - a Danish blog on statistics - and is frequently used as an expert on statistics in Danish news media.

Claus is a council member of the Danish Independent Research Fund, a member of the Danish National Committee on Health Research Ethics, and is former chair of the Danish Society for Theoretical Statistics. He is also member of the Center for Health Data Science board at the University of Copenhagen and is elected member of the International Statistical Institute.
